What to expect

New patients will receive a full explanation of our findings during your initial exam. The exam is simple and very effective utilizing the newest advanced diagnosing systems.  Then, based on problematic areas, your provider will be hands on to examine the area.  We will be looking for “knots” which are fibrous adhesions that create tight, constricted, and painful muscles that just wont let go after rest or chronic injury.  We take pride in our hands-on technique to be able to locate the exact source of the problem.  Our Doctors and Therapists have the proper training to understand how to examine and treat.  Some people may need on going care (if the problem has been chronic) and some may just need a tune up from a recent injury.  We have the resources at our office to customize a wellness program to help you reset and rehabilitate you to brand new.  We suggest that you start your visit with Dr. Heather Galan D.C., Abe Galan LMT, or Dr. Mike Keller D.C.

We also have Strider Kerrick, Certified as a Functional Movement Systems provider, and certified personal strength trainer to help you reset and reprogram your musculature starting at your core.  We know what its like to be injured and get out of shape due to less activity or “taking a break” from your normal exercise routine or sports that you enjoy.  Our mission is to get you back on track prior to your injury, and we want for you to be enjoying your life again without your injury or pain. This system is designed to help you re-ignite your body with the proper sequence.

What is an ART treatment like?

Every ART session is actually a combination of examination and treatment. The ART provider uses their hands to evaluate the texture, tightness, and movement of muscles, fascia, tendons, ligaments, and nerves. Abnormal tissues are treated by combining precisely directed tension with very specific patient movements. Most patients wear comfortable shirts, athletic shorts, tank tops, sports bra.

We have been trained and certified to identify poor movement patterns. Diagnosing pain and movement patterns allow us to visualize restrictions in the shoulder, hip, or spine.  Once we confirm the source of the problem, we treat pain as the priority, and then aim to fix it.  We will be asking for your input on difficulty of certain movements and if there is pain involved.  Expect for us to give it 100%.

Patients often report the treatment feels like a, “Good Hurt,” and often get results immediately. They report that they have more energy. We understand that pain robs the body of energy.  Though we have a deep understanding on how to help people, we also rely on your feedback during the session to help us confirm that we have found the source.  It is our pure intention to help eliminate painful problems for you in a fast and effective manner.  We want you better from the second your session starts.  You are welcome to our office.  Please call today (808)344-5066
